How do I reduce the garlic taste when I put too much in the recipe?

I made this hearty beef stew. It called for 6 cloves of garlic and I put in twice as much by accident. Now the garlic flavor has taken over the stew. I love garlic but I don't want my beef stew to taste like it. Help how do I neutralize the taste of garlic?
