How long would you pretend to be hypnotized?

I handled it for about 20 minutes one time. I guess I was afraid that if they knew the truth then I would hurt their feelings or make them look like a fool. Even though I looked like a fool, I was more worried about their feelings. I even pretended to be woken out of it. I did tell them later and they were actually grateful that I played along.
